The NCCAA DII Cross Country National Championship was held at Point Lookout, MO on Saturday, November 16th. Trinity Bible College had the privilege of sending Chloe Jacob, a senior on the women's team, and the men's team to compete in the event. The TBC Lions once again had great success at the meet, finishing the season off on a high note.

Chloe Jacob represented the TBC women's team very well as she finished the race with a time of 21:24.90. This placed Jacob 9th overall in the DII women's race at the National Championship. Jacob was also named the recipient of the Ray Bullock Award for the 2019 season. She earned this award through not only her great success as a NCCAA DII cross country runner, but also her excellent character and dedication to serving Christ. The Lions women's team also had two athletes who were named Scholar-Athletes for the season: Chloe Jacob and Arianna Bigart.

The men's team also had a great race at the NCCAA DII National Championship. Sam Jacob led the team with a time of 32:48.37. This placed him 24th overall in the race. He was followed closely by Luke Jacob who placed 29th with a time of 34:04.52. Josiah Liebe finished next for the Lions team, followed by Marcus Staley, Zach Bigart, and Isaiah McIntosh. The men's team had three athletes who were named Scholar-Athletes for the season: Sam Jacob, Isaiah McIntosh, and Kaleb Renfro.

Coach Thurber had this to say about the weekend, "By far the highlight of the National event was seeing Chloe winning the highly prestigious Bullock Award. We were also thrilled to celebrate a 3rd top 10 finish for Chloe in the National Championship race. This year she was 9th and we couldn't ask for a better race. We also celebrated our men's team as they made a second showing with a full team at the National Championship. It's been a memorable season!"
