MBB Lions Fall to Conference Rival Providence in OT


Coming off a huge upset win from the previous night vs. #1 Sisseton-Wahpeton the Lions looked confident.

The Lions came right out of the gates and quickly went on a run leaving them with a 9 point lead midway through the first half.

But the Pilots were not going to go down without a fight as they went on a 21 to 2 run.

The Lions go into half time down 43 to 34.

The Lions would not just roll over as they came out f the locker room strong and were able to take the lead with 10 minutes left in the game.

The Lions would miss a couple key freethrows to clench the game for them and with 3 seconds left the pilots went 2 for 2 from the line sending the game into over-time.

The Piolts quickly took over over-time and the Lions were forced to foul.

The Lions would fall 85 to 92 as the Pilots advance to the Championship game.


- The Lions shot 44 percent from the field (33/74), 33 percent on 3's (7/21) and 60 percent on FT's (12/20).

- The Pilots shot 37 percent from the field (30/80), 40 percent on 3's (8/20) and 80 percent on FT's (24/30).

-The Lions had 12 offensive rebounds to the Pilots 12.

-The Lions had 24 Turnovers to the Pilots 14.

-Tash Williams led the Lions with a double-double 21 points and a career high 16 rebounds.

-Josh Bauska pitched in 20 points with 6 rebounds, while Parker Stemen added 17 points and 7 rebounds.

-Korey Harris added a double-double of his own with 13 points and 10 assists
